Parking around the departure point location can be challenging thus the recommendation of arriving early. The entire Newport Beach Harbor is lined with beautiful million dollar homes that are decked to the nine for the annual Newport Beach Boat Parade of Lights that takes place for 5 days every year in the month of December.

Vessels and homes alike are competing for Best in Show for their boat or home category. Shirley Temple used to own a house facing this Harbor and during the tour you will learn about celebrity knowledge shared with you and your fellow tour-goers. Once on the vessel you will be served a full bar on board (credit card & cash are accepted) along with small food/snack like items for purchase. You may also bring your own food - outside food is allowed on board, however, outside alcohol is not allowed as well as ice chests and glass containers are not allowed on board. All of the vessels follow the boat parade route to see the best in show houses and homes for the parade.

After that, hop on local transport for a 15-minute bus ride to the stunning beach cottages of Crystal Cove's historic district, built as a seaside colony between the 1920s and 1940s. Crystal Cove's story started out like a Hollywood movie, literally, as it began in 1918 as a movie set. Following this you'll stop at a popular diner for a milkshake a sweet cool treat.

You will then have an hour long break before the second half of your tour begins. It is down to you to get yourself to Huntington Beach, where your tour will resume. After a picturesque 25 min ride back to town, we'll return our bikes and walk to the International Surfing Museum. Here we'll spend some time learning about how surf culture has shaped the state of California and discover some of surfing's most beloved heroes.   

We'll take a five-minute stroll along Main Street to the oldest brewery in Huntington Beach and one of our favorite watering holes. Here we'll enjoy a locally brewed beer and a bite to eat as we sit on the outdoor patio overlooking Main Street and the Pacific Ocean. 

For our dessert, we'll gather around a fire pit on the beach and eat S'mores, hot dogs and potato chips while watching the sunset. Can it get more USA than that?! We don't think so!
