Connect with your world like never before! The San Antonio Zoo's beautifully landscaped campus is home to thousands of animals from around the globe. It's a “Big as Texas” mixture of world conservation, wildlife education and family fun. Take part in one of the interactive exhibits like feeding a giraffe or ride the “wildest” carousel you've ever seen.

Snack on cold treats or hot meals and make sure you don't miss the aquarium, terrarium and largest collection of birds in the world.

The best part of your experience at the San Antonio Zoo is that you will learn how to help make the world a better place for all.

Africa Live - Hippos, crocodiles, and African cichlids from Lake Tanganyika and Lake Malawi are visible through underwater viewing windows that allow guests to see these creatures in the environment where they spend much of their lives.

African Plains - At this exhibit, look for ostriches, Grevy's zebra, African crowned cranes, Topi, Marabou storks, and sometimes other antelopes.

Amazonia - Animals housed in the Amazonia exhibit include large and small cats, such as the jaguar and the ocelot. Cotton-topped tamarins, marmosets, capuchins, white-faced saki monkeys, armadillos, bats, fish, and birds such as macaws and the giant Andean condor also reside in this area of the zoo.

Cranes Of The World - The exhibit is a lush environment constructed on the Zoo's existing waterway that allows guests to be immersed in the cranes' habitat - an opportunity that is becoming increasingly rare in the wild.

Hixon Bird House - Here you will encounter birds from all parts of the world, from the deserts of the American southwest (roadrunner, burrowing owl), coastal beaches (black-necked stilt, Inca tern), South American rain forest (quetzal, tinamou, sun bittern), the jungles of Asia (lesser green broadbill, fairy bluebird), to the African bush (Taveta golden weaver, Egyptian plover, jacana), and many others

Zootennial Carousel - This dazzling carousel features four Texas favorites—the endangered whooping crane, the white-tailed deer, the Texas horned lizard, and even the jackalope. Each animal on the carousel is unique and the Texas natives are joined by a menagerie of real and imaginary animals like the white ostrich, a seadragon, the hummingbird, a tiger shark, and a polar bear.

Morgan's Inspiration Island in San Antonio

Theme Park San Antonio
$27
In 2017, Morgan's Wonderland unveiled a major expansion--tropically-themed Morgan's Inspiration Island splash park (open May-September) that includes lots of ways to get wet and have fun in the sun. Morgan's Inspiration Island also offers revolutionary waterproof wheelchairs for maximum accessibility throughout the park.  Countless children and adults with special needs do not have access to facilities that enable them to fully enjoy outdoor recreation, but Morgan's Wonderland and Morgan's Inspiration Island are changing that. Both parks provide safe, clean and beautiful environments free of physical and economic barriers that all individuals–regardless of age, special need or disability–can enjoy. For more information, visit www.MorgansWonderland.com, or call (210) 495-5888.

Morgan's Inspiration Island features five tropically themed splash pads. In addition to a fun-filled collection of colorful sea creatures, Rainbow Reef provides heated water for individuals who do not enjoy or who cannot physically tolerate non-heated water. Calypso Cove offers a magical, musical rain garden, while Hang-Ten Harbor has a large, continuous water wave as part of its surfer motif. Shipwreck Island resembles a pirate's paradise, and Castaway Bay is the site of a giant jungle tree house. Morgan's Inspiration Island also features an accessible River Boat Adventure ride.

In keeping with the Morgan's Wonderland mission of inclusion and the desire to enable everyone to play, wheelchair guests that may have previously been unable to enjoy a splash park have the opportunity to privately transfer out of their chairs into unique, waterproof chairs. This gives them the opportunity to enjoy the splash park with their family and friends and not risk damage to their personal wheelchairs.
