Our tour begins at the Historic Newport Armory.  We will talk about Newport's infamous pirates, Revolutionary War armies, the Gilded Age of mansions and industrialists, the Irish American heritage up to and including the condominium boom. Our tour will last approximately 2.5 hours and will cover 1.5 miles.  Bring your appetites, you will not be disappointed!

Our tour begins in the heart of Newport, within walking distances to just about any location in the city. Following an introduction at the Armory, we then visit a beautiful harbor before stopping at our first food location, which is sure to please. Following this, there will be a walk towards our second food location, during which time we will have a view of Fort Adams as well as see the meeting place which was and still is host to Irish American descendants. Our next stop will be a view where you'll hear about the famous Newport mansions, before we continue on to our next food location. We'll enjoy a brief talk in front of a famous Newport pre-revolutionary house, and then visit our fourth food location for a fabulous dessert to be enjoyed in a park. Our last stop is at a pub and will include an alcoholic beverage. Non-alcoholic beverages can also be provided.

Have you ever dreamed of racing an America's Cup yacht? This 3-hour racing experience gives you the opportunity to sail and race aboard the America's Cup 12 Meter yachts that raced in the America's Cup. Feel the exhilaration of sailing aboard a 70-foot yacht while racing contenders and setting out full speed ahead.

While leaving Newport Harbor the captain will introduce the crew, explain safety instructions, and tell about the boat's history. Although sailing experience is unnecessary, the captains will assess the participants' sailing knowledge and experience to ensure each person has the best possible sail. Before racing, the captain and crew will coach the team through racing maneuvers in preparation for the big competition!

Aboard the 12 Meter racing yachts, your professional and friendly crew will coach those interested in a 'hands-on' sailing experience. Although the crew is always there to assist, your team will be grinding and trimming the sails and even calling race tactics. Complete one race, which will include a rabbit start and be a two leg race. Use a main sail and jib sail while racing.

Although you're welcomed to participate, it's never required; if you want, you can simply sit back, enjoy the sights of Newport and experience the cool wind in your face as you cruise.
