The tour starts at 8am, after your guide picks you up from downtown Toronto. It will take approximately 1.5-hours to travel to Niagara Falls. Upon arrival, you will be treated to a trip to the observation deck of Skylon Tower. Take your camera because you will not want to miss out on capturing the views on film!

If you thought seeing the Falls from above was wonderful, wait for the next stop on your tour. Your guide will take you to Journey Behind the Falls, where you will go on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Falls. Explore a series of cave-like tunnels that allow you to see behind Niagara Falls.

Niagara Falls Day Tour from Toronto

Multiday Tour Niagara Falls
$71
Enjoy a day trip from Toronto to Niagara Falls that includes stops at Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Floral Clock, the 'Smallest Chapel in the World,' the hydro-power stations, and a winery for wine tastings. You'll travel aboard a modern mini-coach and have three hours of free time at Niagara Falls to explore independently. Tours are conducted by licensed Niagara Parks Commission Tour Guides, so you'll learn interesting information with commentary given throughout the day. When booking, you have the option to upgrade to include a cruise up the Niagara River to the base of Niagara Falls.

Your day tour starts in the morning with a pick up close to Toronto's Union Station at 8:10am. As most of our passengers are at one pick up location, we don't spend extra time doing pickups in the morning unlike most other tour companies. Travel in our modern climate controlled mini-coach to the historical town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, where you will have 60 minutes to explore.

Check out the picturesque river mouth, and take a walk down the main street, which has many boutique shops, cafes, and bakeries for your enjoyment (own expense). Then continue your tour with a scenic drive along the Niagara Parkway, which was once described by Winston Churchill as the prettiest Sunday drive in the world.

Stop at the Living Water Wayside Chapel, known as the 'Smallest Chapel in the World,' before visiting an estate winery for a provided tasting of three wines including Niagara's famous ice wine, a dessert wine not to be missed. The Floral Clock is next; with up to 15,000 flowers in the display, it is one of the largest flower clocks in the entire world and one of the most photographed attractions in the Niagara region. Around the corner from the Floral Clock are three hydro-power stations on the Niagara River. Your guide will tell you all about hydro-power as you stop for photo ops of these engineering marvels.

The last stop on your tour is the main attraction, Niagara Falls. You have three hours of free time to explore the sights and sounds of this world-famous natural attraction. Participate in various activities, if you wish, such as the Journey Behind the Falls, the Skylon Tower, or a discounted helicopter flight over the falls (all at own expense). You can also upgrade your tour when booking to include a Hornblower Niagara Cruise.

Purchase lunch at Niagara Falls from one of the many restaurants or fast-food eateries at the edge of the waterfall, and take a walk through the parks to enjoy this natural wonder. After your day of sightseeing, you'll be taken back to Toronto and dropped off around 6pm.

When Pigs Fry: Walking Food Tour of Toronto's Hogtown History

Food Tours Toronto
$61
At one point, there were so many pigs in Toronto that the city garnered the nickname "Hogtown", and its pork and bacon earned a reputation as some of the best in the world. On this 3-hour food tour, experience and sample the legendary deliciousness for yourself. Visit one of Toronto's best butcher shops to learn about quality pork and where it comes from. Learn about the history of domestic pig farming and the development of the pork industry in Canada. Your tour guide might even "ham it up" with some pig jokes ... if you're lucky.

Your tour begins outside the Hockey Hall of Fame building. Once you meet up with your tour guide, head to the St. Lawrence Market, where a nearby restaurant serves arguably Toronto's signature sandwich: a peameal bacon sandwich. While munching on this savory treat, your guide will explain the origin of peameal bacon, the significance of the markets to Toronto, and how the area has changed over the last 200 years.

After learning about the area and how Toronto earned the unflattering yet beloved nickname "Hogtown", you'll hop on board an iconic streetcar and roll through the financial and entertainment districts into a trendy neighborhood in the west end. Arrive at King Street West and Queen Street, where you'll stop by a local butcher shop that specializes in organic meats from sustainably practicing farms in the region. Learn about organic and ethical farming and what goes into making quality pork products.

Following the butcher shop, visit two more restaurants to try a southern U.S. piggy spin on a classic Canadian dish, as well as a popular German street food with American and British flavor influences. It's unsurprising that as such a multicultural city, Toronto's signature pork dishes have been transformed by different cultural influences. At each of these restaurant shops, you can purchase a beverage. Both places have an excellent selection of local craft beers (for those 19+ years of age).

As your tour concludes, your guide will recommend several options for dinner (including the restaurants visited on the tour) and give you directions to wherever you need to go for your next adventure.

Flying Trapeze Class

Adventure Toronto
$44
1.5 hour flying trapeze lesson for all age groups and levels, no experience required!  If it's your first try, we'll teach you how to do the "knee hang" trick. Once you're comfortable with the basics, you'll climb up to the 30 ft platform and take the leap!  You'll have several turns to practice the trick, to improve your timing and technique.  Once your technique is safe, we'll have you attempt a catch, which is the most exhilarating part.  You'll execute your trick, then put your hands out and the catcher will grab you out of thin air just like in the circus!

We'll meet at ultraTrapeze, located at 1510 Birchmount Unit #150 (entrance at the rear of the building).  Classes run Tuesday evenings from 6:15- 7:45pm or Saturdays 1:00-2:30pm.

First, we'll have you sign a waiver and explain the safety rules.  We'll then get you set up with a safety belt and show you the basics on the ground and on the practice bar.  Once you're comfortable on the ground we will take you up the ladder onto the fly platform. An instructor on the platform will tie in your safety lines, and walk you through the take-off.  You'll take the jump and attempt the "knee-hang".  You'll have several turns to practice your trick.  The last 30 minutes of the class is dedicated to catching, where a second person called the "catcher" is swinging from a separate catch bar. The flyer jumps off the platform, attempts their trick, then the catcher grabs hold of the flyer's hands and the flyer continues to swing under the catcher.  What a thrill!

Here's a preview of a knee-hang catch so you can visualize what you'll be doing: https://youtu.be/mSmLxAECrUM.

Introduction to Stand Up Paddleboarding in Toronto

Water Sports Toronto
$34
This class is specifically designed for those with little to no experience on the water and tends to be the best way to familiarize oneself with SUPing. Join as a group or take a private lesson. Your patient instructor will be with you on the water and will go through things like positioning on the board, paddling technique, self rescue and more. Lessons are 75 minutes long split between formal instruction, one-on-one feedback and play.

While taking the Introduction to Stand Up Paddleboarding class, immerse yourself in the beauty of Toronto Island. Step away from the city on a 10-minute ferry ride and enter a place of beaches, parks, niche cafes and quiet. Once island side, find Wards Beach, just outside the neighborhood on the shore of Lake Ontario.

The lesson starts with an on-land portion. We go over board anatomy, theory, paddling technique, weather and water safety. Once everyone is suited up, the small group of up to 6 people heads out into the lake with the instructor for the lesson. Your instructor goes over positioning on the board, paddling in a straight line, turning, balance and many other techniques to help your induction to the activity.

You'll have some free time at the end to paddle around on your own. Once back on shore, you'll be debriefed and sent on your way to enjoy the beach, park or lunch at one of the local cafes in the area.
