National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum Admission

Located on Persimmon Hill in Oklahoma City, the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum encompasses more than 200,000 square feet of space and features over 28,000 Western and American Indian art works and artifacts. The museum also has the world's most extensive collection of American rodeo photographs, saddlery, barbed wire, and rodeo trophies.

Established in 1955 to honor the cowboy and his era, the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum has become a world-class institution housing extraordinary collections of art, artifacts, and archival materials. The museum collects a broad array of material that reflects the variety of peoples, cultures, and historical currents found in the west. 

Visitors can explore the William S. and Ann Atherton Art of the American West Gallery. This 15,000 square foot space contains portraits, landscapes, sculptures, and colorful still lifes. The historical galleries include the American Cowboy Gallery, the American Rodeo Gallery, the Joe Grandee Museum of the Frontier West Gallery, the Native American Gallery, and the Weitzenhoffer Gallery of Fine American Firearms.
