You can expect the cooking portion of your experience to last about two hours before you sit down to enjoy the meal you helped prepare.

Ine's food is light and creative and offers a wide variety of flavors, textures and colors following culinary trends. Your menu might include dishes such as green pea gazpacho, squid with tomato coulis, roasted chicken and herbed potatoes and whole roasted dorade.

Ine grew up near Ghent in East Flanders and learned to cook from her father. While her mother cooked during weekdays, it was her father who recruited her help to create special meals for friends they hosted over the weekends.

Ine's apartment overlooks gardens of neighboring homes and is a peaceful oasis in the city. Like many Belgians, Ine grows her own herbs on her balcony and makes use of them in all her food from her creative mocktails and flavored water to her soups and appetizers.

Book this experience and get ready for a happy stomach, new cooking skills and many recommendations for some of the best restaurants in Brussels, Antwerp, Brugge and Ghent!

Marie-Anne offers dishes that are made from family recipes passed down through generations. She loves to eat and sit at the table with friends and family over home cooked food and is very passionate about cooking with fresh and seasonal ingredients. Marie-Anne hosts along with her husband Frank when he is in town during dinner experiences. They live in a welcoming home that has a beautiful garden in the back.

Marie-Anne also makes excellent Italian food so if you are interested in learning to make pasta from scratch and other Italian dishes, let her know when making your booking request and she will plan an Italian menu.

Musical Instruments Museum Entrance Ticket

Museums Brussels
$12

Since 11 January 1992 the Musical Instruments Museum (now known as the 'mim') has been part of the Royal Museums of Art and History. It's divided into two sections: firstly, the early music section and secondly, the section of modern music (19th and 20th centuries), and popular and traditional music.

At the very beginning of the Brussels Musical Instruments Museum's creation two collections of instruments were joined together.

One belonged to the celebrated Belgian musicologist François-Joseph Fétis (1784-1871), was bought by the Belgian government in 1872 and put on deposit in the Conservatory where Fétis was the first director. The other was offered to King Leopold II in 1876 by the Rajah Sourindro Mohun Tagore (1840-1914) and comprises about a hundred Indian instruments.

With these two original collections, the mim was already remarkably rich for its time. But its first curator, Victor-Charles Mahillon (1841-1924) was considerably to augment its collections, thus placing it among the finest in the world.

At his death in 1924, the mim counted some 3666 articles, among which 3177 were original musical instruments. A collector and maker of wind instruments and a noted acoustics expert, Mahillon performed his job with an enthusiasm, competence and dynamism that exceeded any of the expectations that his purely honorary title might have aroused.

Thanks to his activity and connections, the museum rapidly gained international fame, not only for the quantitative importance of its collections but also for their diversity, and for the quality and rarity of the items brought together.

Explore what's on, including interesting temporary exhibitions, lectures and various other activities. Unfortunately, the website does not extend to giving you a full viewing of our collection, comprising thousands of art treasures and historical objects. However, we hope that you will come and visit us and enjoy discovering or rediscovering the immense heritage that we manage and display. To us, indeed, art and history are not dead and dusty subjects, but very much alive and a constant source of inspiration and enjoyment.

In the Art & History Museum, you can see national archaeological artefacts from prehistory to the age of the Merovingians, as well as finds from Egypt, the Near East, Iran and Classical Antiquity. Among the star attractions are the collections of Egyptian sarcophagi and Greek vases, the great mosaic floor from Apamea and the model of Ancient Rome. There are also non-European art treasures from China, South-east Asia, Central Asia, the cultural world of Islam, America and Oceania. Particularly famous is the collection of pre-Columbian art and another eye-catcher is the colossal statue from Easter Island. There is also a representative selection of European decorative art, ranging from Romanesque Art to Art Deco. Among the collections not to be missed are the Mosan liturgical treasures, the tapestries, the retables, the glassware and the Art Nouveau figures. Indeed, some of the art treasures in this museum are right out of the top drawer.

Horta & Wolfers Temporary Exhibition now on until December 30th, 2018
105 years after the official inauguration of the  Wolfers Frères jewellery store in 1912, visitors will once again be able to admire the shop in its original form.
